Carl Hutman

Working in various dealerships over the years and having spent most of his apprenticeship years in a Honda environment, Carl was asked by Honda Canada to head up the automotive staff of a new venture in Portage la Prairie in the late 80’s.

He finally took the time in 1991 to get his interprovincial ticket for Automotive Technician.  Upon moving back to the Winnipeg area he along with his wife Lynn began the mobile automotive service, Get-About Auto Repairs, in the fall of 1993.

During the course of being self-employed, Lynn and Carl have raised 3 boys, now aged 18, 16, & 14.

With a background in Office work and Customer Service, Lynn enjoys working with people and their vehicle concerns.

Over the years she has worked part-time with Special Ed Children in a high school environment, but due to increasing business at Get-About Auto she now works full-time with Carl.



Get-About Auto currently employs one full-time technician and is looking at taking on an apprentice come fall time.
